About the system
An interactive traffic monitoring system under the project "B-TEN - Improved nodes Giurgiu-Byala for better connection to TEN-T infrastructure", funded through the program "INTERREG V-A ROMANIA - BULGARIA" and national co-financing
-
Counting points
Counting and classification of vehicles that have passed through the counting points, as well as increase in the accuracy of the data in combination with those collected by already existing systems.
-
Weather stations
Weather stations provide information on wind speed and direction, the presence of precipitation and its volume, air temperature and humidity percentage.
-
Statistics and analysis
Collection and accumulation of statistics on traffic participants, which allow the generation of samples, trends and reports on traffic, as well as allow comparative estimates of its intensity between two periods of time
Counting and classification of vehicles that have passed through the monitoring points and increase the accuracy of the data in combination with those collected by already existing systems
Collection and accumulation of statistics on traffic participants, which allow for the generation of samples, trends and reports on traffic, as well as allow comparative estimates of its intensity within at least two periods of time
Receive up-to-date real-time traffic information on roads on which automatic traffic tracking and counting devices are located
Analysis of the need to carry out investment activities on the road network through the indicators of intensity and time saved during travel
Increasing the duration of the census - 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, which is fully automated
Reduction of subjectivism in the classification of vehicle types
Reduction of inaccuracies in the counting
Improving the safety of roads on which automatic counting devices are built
Monitoring of the meteorological situation and the condition of the road surface
Possibility for centralized data collection and analysis

Building a joint system
The Municipality of Byala is implementing the project: “Improved nodes Giurgiu-Byala for better connection to TEN-T infrastructure”, co-financed by the European Union through The Interreg VA Romania - Bulgaria program.

Queries and reports
The system should allow the user to define different reports and reports with the possibility to combine parameters after the data collection is completed.
